Air Group – a perfectly executed play!
It was a sticky, humid night when a customer got a distress call from his elderly mother at 9:15pm. Her air conditioning had stopped working and since she suffered from a respiratory ailment, she feared for her health. He acted quickly and called Air Group for help. His call was answered by Nicole, our LIVE overnight CSR. Nicole immediately dispatched J.R, our on-call service technician. J.R. quickly diagnosed the problem, a bad blower motor. He coordinated with Patrick who was onsite at Air Group, and J.R. received the new motor instantly. By 10PM the air conditioning was back on, his mother was cool & comfortable and our customer was extremely grateful.

This month, Air Group joins Carrier Corp. in celebrating the 109th anniversary of Dr. Willis H. Carrier’s invention of modern air conditioning, an innovation that forever changed the way people live, work and play by making the world a much cooler place! Air Group has been a proud Carrier Factory Authorized dealer for years.
On July 17, 1902 Carrier developed, and later patented, the first system to provide man-made control over temperature, humidity, ventilation and indoor air quality for a Brooklyn, N.Y. printing plant. Carrier’s invention revolutionized nearly every aspect of our daily lives, helping entire regions of the world that once were uninhabitable due to heat and humidity to grow and prosper.

May 18, 1881 – The potato bugs are threatening the total destruction of the crops
Dec 13, 1960 – Snow drifts up to ten feet high, intense cold and forty-mile winds immobilized central and northern New Jersey yesterday

Energy prices vary greatly by region |
New York area consumers paid prices well above the U.S. city average for electricity and utility (piped) gas in January, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Electricity prices were 54.4 percent higher in New York than nationwide, and (piped) gas prices were 26.6 percent higher. In comparison, the price of gasoline was close to the national average, varying by 4.0 percent. Michael L. Dolfman, the Bureau’s regional commissioner, noted that the price of electricity in the metropolitan area changed little over the year, while prices for utility (piped) gas fell and gasoline rose. The percentage differential between local and national prices, however, narrowed for utility (piped) gas as the price decrease in New York was steeper than the drop nationally
This really underscores the importance of energy awareness and being aware of energy prices in our area of New Jersey – particularily the northern NJ counties of Morris, Bergen, Union, Passaic and Essex.
